Resources to Support Differentiation and Inclusion

Related to BC Curriculum for Intermediate Grades

This wiki provides resources in multiple means of representation so that students can access information related to the B.C. curriculum in a variety of ways.  The wiki was created to support several students in intermediate classrooms who have difficulty accessing the regular textbook but anyone is welcome to use this wiki.

Each wiki page is based on a BC IRP (our curriculum standards) and contains a variety of digital resources that support that IRP.

How teachers are using This Wiki

  • include students with special needs in the curriculum
  • differentiate instruction by offering student choice
  • alternate way to access curriculum material
  • for students who need more practice or repetition
  • extension activities for students who need more challenge
  • showing photos, videos, or interactives on the SMARTBoard
  • in computer lab with whole class
  • at home for students who are absent
  • at home for parents who want to help

Need more resources?

I rarely do a general Google search for curriculum planning.  Instead, I head straight to a number of excellent sites that have already identified educational materials.  Here are my favourite links for curriculum planning organized on a handy sqworl page.  If the topic you need is not listed below, also try searching on the main sqworl page to see if a page of links has already been created.
